Business lead Time Administration in the Dress Sector of Bangladesh: An Avenues for Survival and Growth Nuruzzaman Department of promoting, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh Ahasanul Haque Department of business Operations, International Islamic University Malaysia, Box No . 10, 50728 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Subjective Bangladesh offers emerged since an important supplier of quality readymade clothing in the global market. The spectacular growth of garment sector in Bangladesh in recent years features dramatically transformed the panorama of foreign trade composition from the country. When heavily determined by exports of primary items lead by Jute, our economy of Bangladesh is now experiencing almost 76% export contribution from readymade garments (RMG). The sector has now occupied an important place in Bangladesh countrywide economy. However, all is definitely not well in this sector. It faces numerous challenges and it is right now on the crossroad with the phasing out of quota system, GSP facilities and new provisions of WTO. From this study tries have been made to find out the ways to face the competitive organization environment by efficient supervision process on the lead time reduction. The main purpose of here is info to evaluate the business process of the outfit sector to determine it's business lead time minimization process. The analysis has been determined by the development of a new diagram of business process with the outcome the other managing process in the supply string is an important component rather than process management inside the lead time minimization process.

Intro

The spectacular growth of clothing sector in Bangladesh lately has considerably changed the landscape of export structure of the nation. Once heavily dependent on exports of major products led by Jute, the economy of Bangladesh has become experiencing almost 76% (Nuruzzaman, 2005)export contribution from Readymade garments (RMG). The sector has now busy an important place in our national economy. Together with the blessings of inexpensive labour, pressure for globalisation of development based on site economies in addition to the favourable treatment from developed countries, Bangladesh and some different developing countries have little by little become the global players in international trade in RMG. However , the Multi-fibre Set up facility, which has been extended to favour the smallest amount of, developed countries in conveying garments and textile has phased out following 2005. Consequently, the beneficiaries of MFA, including Bangladesh are facing severe competition in the unguaranteed world marketplace. At present, this sector is facing many challenges nationally and worldwide.

The changing global environment in business as well as the development of GATT into WTO raises a large number of important queries regarding embrace export inside the Textile and garment sector for a expanding country like Bangladesh. To survive in this sector Bangladesh need to take quick pragmatic plans enabling on its own to remain competitive more efficiently in the changing business environment through minimisation of lead time. In the beginning of 1990s, the lead time was 120-150 days and nights (Azad, 2004) but in 3 years ago, it was lowered to 30-50 days, my spouse and i. e. currently it is 90-100 days (Khan, 2007). China requires just 30 days because of their textile and also other backward linkage facilities along with export friendly management and supporting policy. It is 45-60 days in India and Pakistan (Nuruzzaman, 2008).
